I am thrilled to say I had an absolute blast yesterday. There were more people than expected through those doors. KUDOS to the BitchCraftFair team and organizers. They made my 1st showing a breeze. Thank you for not once making me feel stupid or annoying when I had last-minute questions ( in August). Being around so many people of like minds and spirituality really nourished the soul. Got a lot of new ideas for some boxes thanks to a few people that took the time to come and chat. By few, I mean many. Blessed that so many came by the booth, and purchased or were interested in commissioned pieces. I took many notes of what did and didn't work, most DID work, so I'm better prepared for next year. Let's take about the talents of all the mystics & makers. I didn't get to go booth to booth, but those I did see, their works were stunning! The time flew by and when it was time to break down, I wanted to stay longer, but my stomach was yelling FEED ME! So much fun! Can't wait for next year. I may consider doing both shows (the other in Milwaukee), but that will be decided by how many commissions I get from this show.
To the young lady that took the Ouija Box home, I am so happy you took her home. She did well on her 1st outing. I didn't get many photos of her finished, so if you read my blog, I would love a few photos. I tried something new on that box with the pigment for the oil and it came out better than I visioned. Beyond thrilled, she has a home.
Now, I have to thank my bestie and partner in crime, Sara, who without her help yesterday would have been a ball of stress. Her experience of knowing where to set up a display without me telling her is priceless. You will see her in the TikTok video and our photo together. Love her. SHE IS THE BEST! Listening to me talk non-stop about BitchCraft for the last several months and obsessively making more things for the show, hand to be annoying HAHAHAHA.
Please view photos and keep reading, there is more......
Last but not least, is my husband who supported this from the second I asked him about it. He didn't even make a peep about the messes I made throughout the house as each project took over. I think I used every surface and chair in the house. So much gratitude for him. I suppose being with him for 32 years has its perks. LOL Not saying I'm cleaning things up right away, I will take a day or 2 to decompress HAHAHA.
If you were there and have some input about my crafts or booth, I would love to hear about it. Excited to prepare for next year's show(s)
BLESSED BE!!!
